Co-op Players Hub

Megastore: Tidy Up Together is a cozy first-person sorting sim you can finish alone or with a friend in online co-op. Yolo Games Studio released the Steam Windows build on 2 September 2026. There is no local-only mode to wait for. This hub is the roster of player jobs, not a character wiki: who fetches, who shelves, who owns a floor, and when a second person is worth inviting.

Child pages:

  • Co-op roles assigns fetch, shelf, and floor jobs for two people.
  • Solo play covers pause, saves, and one-player pacing after hotfix 1.0.1.

Skill spends that support those jobs live on the skill tier list and best skills pages. Map routes live under guides.

Solo and online co-op both ship

Every launch store can be restored by one player:

  • Toy Store — 3,555 items on 297 shelves. Teaching map. Fine solo.
  • Supermarket — 7,934 items on 487 shelves. Longer sight lines. Still fine solo, nicer with a partner.
  • Megastore — 13,380 items, nine departments, 978 shelves, two stories. Online co-op is strongly recommended. Solo is still fully supported.

You unlock stores progressively. Do not jump into the atrium just because the Megastore looks like the trailer. Learn grouping on Toy Figures and Plushies first via the Toy Store walkthrough.

There are 33 achievements. You can play with or without skills. One achievement tracks finishing a store without using skills; hotfix 1.0.1 fixed that tracking. Call the rule before a co-op load-in, because a partner’s numbered HUD ability can spoil the attempt.

Roles at a glance

Two bodies should not walk the same aisle. The default split:

  • Fetcher lives on the floor. Magnet-style pull, crate, roller. Owns escalator dumps and atrium piles.
  • Shelver lives on the bays. Long Reach (+1 m), flashlight, green outlines. Owns seating and the last SKU in a department.

On the Megastore, add a floor claim: one player downstairs (bakery, fish, books in the atrium), one player upstairs. Details and callouts are on co-op roles. Skill differences between a lone stocker and a pair are on solo vs co-op skills.

Controller left trigger overlaps grab and abilities. Rebind before you assign roles or a fetcher will keep firing tools while trying to take a product off a shelf. Use the controls guide.

Saves, hosting, and crashes

Players have asked for separate solo and partner saves. Treat that as a request, not a shipped feature. Host co-op on a file you are willing to share. Autosave and crash complaints showed up immediately after launch; do not run a three-hour Megastore session as the only copy of a 100% file.

Hotfix 1.0.1 pauses time with ESC when you are the only player in the session. That is a solo comfort. In co-op, break at department boundaries. The same patch added a missing Supermarket area to Unstuck Product settings. The host should know that menu so a stuck SKU does not become a 20-minute argument.

Join the studio Discord at https://discord.gg/ewGHrHnZPn for session finding and bug reports. There are no promo codes that spawn a helper; the codes page covers Steam keys only. Official news also lives on the links page and the updates hub.

When to add a partner

Invite someone when:

  • You have finished Toy Store once and want the Supermarket to feel like a shift, not a chore.
  • The Megastore atrium is eating your evening.
  • You want one person on last-item flashlight duty while the other keeps the floor moving.

Stay solo when:

  • You are learning signs and auto-sort in hand.
  • You are hunting the no-skills achievement.
  • You need ESC pause, which hotfix 1.0.1 tied to being the only player.

Closed playtests happened before launch, and the Steam page sat on about 12,000 wishlists. The design already assumes both one-player and two-player sessions. Pick the page that matches tonight’s group size, then open the matching store guide: Supermarket or Megastore.

If you only remember one rule from this hub, remember not to both stand in the same department. Claim a job, claim a floor, and let the other person own the pile you just walked past.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Can I finish the Megastore without a partner?

Yes. Solo is fully supported. Online co-op is optional and strongly recommended for the two-story map. Pacing lives on solo play.

Is co-op local split-screen?

No. Co-op is online. Keyboard, mouse, and controller all work; rebind left trigger so grab and skills do not overlap.

What is the default two-player split?

Fetcher on the floor, shelver on the bays, plus a floor claim on the Megastore. Full jobs are on co-op roles.

Do we share a save?

Players have requested separate solo and partner saves. Do not assume the launch build keeps those files apart. Host on a copy you are willing to share.

Where do we spend skill points as a pair?

Do not both buy Long Reach first. Follow solo vs co-op skills so capacity and reach land on different people.
