Megastore Tidy Up Together Megastore Walkthrough
Two stories, nine departments, 978 shelves. Steam lists 13,380 items; the HUD tracks remaining work.
The Megastore is the third launch store in Megastore: Tidy Up Together, unlocked after the Toy Store and Supermarket. You do not start here. Yolo Games Studio’s Steam page sizes it at 13,380 items, nine departments, and 978 shelves on two stories. That 13,380 figure is the official item total. The in-game HUD tracks remaining shelves and items; a well-known screenshot shows 47/978 with a 13,357-style item remaining count and a 0/20 stack. Use Steam for the size of the building, and the HUD for how much work is left tonight.
If HUD verbs still feel new, reread Getting Started before the atrium. Solo can finish it. Online co-op is the recommended way to split floors. There is no fail state, completion time still prints at the end, and difficulty plus skills-on/off still apply. Keyboard and mouse remain more reliable than default gamepad binds (controls).
Read the atrium before you pick a department
The first view is the escalator pile: two moving stairs and a center stair run choked with inflatables, plush, bakery bags, and a ball mid-air. Nothing belongs on those stairs. Treat the atrium as a dump zone you will sort outward from, not as a fourth floor.
Signed walls you can actually see from that view and nearby halls:
- Books
- Rolls & Baguettes, Sweet Bakes, Breads (bakery cases)
- Fresh Fish, Fish Cut
- Umbrellas on an upper rail
- Directional wall: Toy, Summer, Music, Clothing
- Grocery depth: Paper Goods, Rice, Pasta, Canned Goods, Cooking & Baking, Beef, Wagyu
- Checkout bank 01–04 with trolley-return signage
Steam says nine departments. The list above is observed signage, not a claim that every hanging board is its own official department. Walk both stories once. Note which signs sit upstairs versus down. Then lock a route.
Carry HUD in late screenshots is 20. Magnet-style pull and compact/stack show on the bar alongside Throw (R) and Switch Product. Green outlines still mean “this SKU / this bay.” Auto-sort in hand still works; with a 20-stack, Switch Product is mandatory or you will shelf a summer ring onto Fresh Fish because it was the last thing you looked at.
Floor split (solo or co-op)
Ground / atrium-adjacent: bakery cases, fish counters, books, checkout hall, grocery dry goods. Clear the escalator dump toward these signs so balls stop rolling onto the stairs.
Upper: clothing, music, summer, toy overflow, umbrellas. Long Reach (+1 m) earns its name on high facings. Hotfix 1.0.1 also sped up ground collection, which helps the clothing-wall floor pile.
Last: numbered checkouts and any “paper goods” corridor you skipped. Checkout clutter looks like the Supermarket but the remaining denominator is 978, not 487.
If you have a lobby, one player owns upstairs, one owns bakery/fish/books, and the first person finished takes grocery plus lanes. Details sit on co-op roles and solo versus co-op. Do not both magnet-pull the atrium.
Skills that survive 13k remaining
Named perks: Long Reach +1 m, +3 Stack Capacity (1.0.1 fixed a +6 bug). Observed tools: magnet pull, compact/stack, flashlight, paint roller, megaphone, crate. No extra official node names. Magnet is a department finisher, not an opener; it will restock the escalator if you fire it from the wrong landing. Compact/stack helps when the 20-cap is full of mixed families — still Switch Product before you place.
Player-reported arcade tokens exist here too. Assign them as a side hunt after remaining items are no longer five digits. Best skills is the ranking page; this walkthrough only cares that reach and cap beat flashlight theatrics on two stories.
Last 200 items
The remaining HUD will lie to your confidence. Last hides are still a yoyo, a letter-V foam board, and a basketball in a hoop — plus whatever sat down inside a fish case or a bakery display. Empty hands. Walk hoops. Check the upper rail. Do not Throw search from the escalator; you will create a new remaining item on the stairs.
100% without skills is a long, honest grind on this store. 1.0.1 fixed the achievement tracker and Unstuck Product for clipped large SKUs. ESC pauses the timer only when you are the only player. Autosave/crash loss hurts more at 978 shelves; screenshot 47/978-style counts before you quit. People want separate solo and co-op saves; 1.0 does not offer them. Looping music will be in your head by department seven.
Achievements with mall energy: Ready for Opening, Fresh Start, Grand Opening, Shelf Whisperer, Stacked Up, Long Reach. There are 33 on Steam. Opening this store does not unlock the post-launch electronics shop; that is roadmap with a second undecided theme, Workshop editor, and mods.
When the remaining shelf fraction is near 0/978, do one silent lap with no abilities. Then compare your time to a later co-op run. For a printable order of bays, use the store checklist and sorting faster after you have walked the real signs once.
Call the atrium the dump zone: nothing belongs on the escalators, and every ball that rolls onto the stairs is a future 100% headache if you ignore it until 47/978.
