Megastore Tidy Up Together Performance, Stability & QoL Update
The 4 September 2026 patch that sharpened ground collection, fixed hold poses, and kept polishing based on your reports.
Yolo Games Studio shipped hotfix 1.0.3 on 4 September 2026, two days after Megastore: Tidy Up Together launched on Steam. This update focuses primarily on performance, stability, achievement tracking, and improvements based directly on player reports from the first 48 hours. If you had trouble with ground collection speed, large product camera blocking, or achievement tracking after a clean run, this patch addresses those directly.
The game remains a released Windows title with online co-op and solo. Hotfix 1.0.3 does not add a fourth store, change the skill tree, or introduce new departments. Everything it changes is quality-of-life and stability. The studio said they would keep watching reports and shipping polish until the loop felt right.
Ground collection speed threshold lowered
The speed threshold before moving products become interactable is now lower. This means scooping items while you still have walk speed feels less like you have to stop and bow. If you were constantly stopping to pick up scattered items in the Toy Store or the Supermarket, the lower threshold makes the flow smoother. This is especially noticeable in high-clutter areas like the Pretend Play section or the fresh-food side of the Supermarket.
This change complements the first-hour loop described in Getting Started. You should notice it most in the first few aisles when you are still learning which signs belong to which bay.
Large product hold poses improved
Large products — pool floats, oversized toys, big boxes — now sit in more readable hold poses. Previously, a large item could eat the camera badly, making it hard to see where you were walking or which bay you were approaching. The improved poses keep the camera clearer while you carry.
This matters most in the Megastore where oversized products appear in multiple departments. If you were avoiding certain large items because they blocked your view, try them again after updating.
Achievement tracking reliability
Several achievement-tracking issues reported in the first 48 hours have been addressed. The achievement for finishing a store without using skills was already repaired in hotfix 1.0.1. Hotfix 1.0.3 continues that work with additional tracking reliability improvements.
If you completed a store cleanly and the badge did not pop, try a short session after updating to confirm the tracker is stable. The achievements guide lists all 33 achievements and their known requirements.
Performance and stability
General performance improvements and stability fixes shipped in this patch. Players who experienced stuttering in the Toy Store or frame drops in the two-story Megastore should see improvement. The system requirements page confirms the minimum and recommended specs if you are troubleshooting hardware.
These fixes do not change gameplay mechanics. They make the existing loop run more consistently across different hardware configurations.
What 1.0.3 does not change
This patch does not add:
- A fourth store or new departments.
- Changes to Stack Capacity or Long Reach values (those were set in 1.0.1).
- New skill tree nodes or rebalanced perks.
- A fix for looping music or autosave crash reports (those remain under review).
- Promo codes or redeem boxes (codes hub).
How to update and play after 1.0.3
Update through Steam before your next session. Confirm the build in the news list, then:
- Test ground collection speed in a cluttered Toy Store aisle.
- Try carrying a large product through the Megastore atrium to check the improved hold poses.
- If you have a store completion that did not award its badge, run a short section and check the achievement tracker.
- Report remaining issues through Steam discussions or the community Discord linked on links.
The studio is actively monitoring feedback. When the next numbered patch ships, it will appear on the updates hub as its own page.
Relationship to 1.0.1
Hotfix 1.0.3 builds on 1.0.1 without replacing it. All 1.0.1 fixes remain active:
- ESC pauses the timer when you are the only player.
- Stack Capacity is +3 (not the old +6 bug).
- Long Reach behaves correctly from the first perk choice.
- Puzzle Foam V is on the floor for new Toy Store saves.
- Unstuck Product includes the Supermarket area added in 1.0.1.
Run 1.0.3 on top of 1.0.1. The hotfix 1.0.1 page stays relevant for understanding perk values and last-item locations.
Known remaining issues
The studio has acknowledged these player reports and they remain under review:
- Autosave and crash progress loss (screenshot remaining counts as a workaround).
- Looping music with no in-game toggle.
- Controller left-trigger grab overlapping ability inputs.
- Request for separate solo versus co-op save slots.
These are tracked on the roadmap as known requests, not confirmed future changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When did hotfix 1.0.3 ship?
4 September 2026, two days after the 2 September Steam launch. It follows hotfix 1.0.1 which shipped on 3 September.
What did hotfix 1.0.3 fix?
Lower ground collection speed threshold, improved large product hold poses, and additional achievement tracking reliability improvements based on first-48-hours player reports.
Did 1.0.3 change skill values?
No. Stack Capacity (+3) and Long Reach (+1 m) were set correctly in 1.0.1. 1.0.3 does not rebalance perks.
Why do my large products still block the camera?
After 1.0.3, large products sit in improved hold poses. If a specific item still causes problems, report it with the item name and department through Steam discussions.
Did 1.0.3 fix autosave crashes?
No. Autosave and crash progress loss remain known issues. Screenshot remaining counts before quitting a long session as a workaround.
What is still missing from the game?
Two more stores (electronics planned), Steam Workshop editor, external mod support, promo codes, and split-screen are not in 1.0. See the roadmap.
